Social Work Exam Prep Reviews
I was so nervous (I can have test anxiety) and your program was very beneficial and I love the layout of the study program. It is nice and easy to be able to study while I am at work (during my breaks or lunch time). Much appreciation.
The study materials provided through The Therapist Development Center go above and beyond in preparing you for the LCSW Law and Ethics Exam. I felt confident going into the exam and was not surprised by any of the content presented during the exam. I was able to practice my timing and pace in addition to getting a wide variety of questions over different practice exams. Thank you TDC for helping me prepare and pass this exam the first time!
Well, I am a career change person. I returned to grad school in my 40s, got my MSW, and LSW right away. Then someone immediately said, 'Now you need to go right for your LCSW.' The supervision was great since I was new to the field. My experience right out of the gate has been the highest level of at-risk adolescents, and currently the highest level of adult mental health clients. Now I am a LCSW (well, once I get the license in the mail). Regarding the LCSW exam, to be frank I took the NASW prep course and it was very misleading about what the exam was like. I failed the exam on the first try. Your homepage presentation stating that most prep course teachers have never taken the exam, and that it is more about knowing how to answer the questions than memorizing facts, was correct. Your program was excellent! I only passed by 3 points, but I passed. The reasoning questions made me ponder the reasoning by those at the ASWB who prepared it. But the journey is now over, or just beginning depending on how you look at it. Thanks for the help!
I felt very prepared for the exam and followed all of your recommendations. I am so happy that I used the TDC as it has been recommended to me by so many and I will continue to recommend it to anyone who will be taking these exams. No surprises on the test and passed on the first try. Thank you!
OMG, I just passed my LCSW exam! I was surprised to see how few DSM related questions it had, just as Amanda said! I felt very well prepared after studying with the Therapist Development Center for 6 months total, but 3 weeks most seriously after I registered for the exam. I kept listening to the lectures in my car and I drive a lot for work, so most concepts were pretty engrained in my brain towards the end of my studying. Most importantly, I was prepared to think through the exam and not panic when I did't know the answer, just like Amanda suggested (again)! If you listen to the lectures, do the quick studies and quizzes until you master them, you will pass! Thanks so much for making it easy for me! I already recommend your program to my colleagues! Cheers!
