Social Work Exam Prep Reviews
I took the exam before and did not pass, so this website was referred to me by a friend. I was very hesitant at first, but after doing the pre mini test and listening to the first audio with Amanda and how she broke down the questions I was already feeling more confident. I had enough time to go through the program twice, but found the second time it was better to just go over your weak areas. I was not a fan of the mini quizzes, but in the long run they helped me with some basic recall questions on the actual exam. I greatly appreciated the mini exams, and two full mock exams. I feel that if you are allowed to do them more than the program allows you will get burned out. Bethany was so thoughtful and encouraging in her responses with me. She was able to guide me through the frustrating times, and instill a sense of calm. I will say that I did not do well on one of the full mocks and I had a moment of thinking I should postpone. That is when Bethany took time out to talk with me and listen to what was going on and guide me in sticking to the plan. I did what Amanda said and brought her into the exam with me and that helped!! This program is great for those people who know that they are not good standardized test takers. It offers a lot of great advice, but remember you are an individual so not everything in this program may work for you but a lot of it will. Take what you need from it and leave the rest. I cannot express my gratitude enough to this program being available for people who are trying to get their LICSW. Thank you Amanda for guiding, and thank you Bethany for the personal coaching!!!
I am very happy with the TDC curriculum. It was conveyed in a way that was easy to understand and substantially developed my ability to rationalize not only for the test, but for my role as a clinician. I found the rationalizations following the mock exams to be most helpful and appreciated the prompt responses/clarifications to my questions from my coach, Robin. I was able to use other study materials from another program and attended a law and ethics workshop that my agency hosted and those just confused me more. I was so thankful that I had TDC to fall back on and foster understanding of the material. I'm usually not a good test taker and felt more confident going into this exam than any other test I have had before. The 'pep talk' alleviated a lot of my anxiety so I was very grateful for that piece as well. I will definitely utilize TDC when I'm ready to take my clinical exam. THANK YOU!!
Despite having studied extensively I was incredibly nervous going into this test. But upon reading the first question I immediately heard the narrator's voice and felt a sense of calm. Suffice to say, I passed!!
The material was helpful in organizing how I would study, and helped me to avoid feeling overwhelmed by how much there was to cover. I felt very prepared after I went through the program, and very confident in my ability to be able to pass the test.
I passed! The materials really connected with my learning style, but I doubted I was truly prepared for the exam until I saw the first question, and then the next. I have a lot of test taking anxiety and this sense of familiarity helped carry me through to the end of the exam. Thank you! On to the next :)
