MFT Exam Prep Reviews
Thank you TDC!! I passed my Law and Ethics test on 6-30-16 on my first try. I attribute my success to the practice tests and mock exams, which were extremely similar to the format of the actual test. The structure was so similar that I felt like I was just taking another mock exam, which helped decrease my stress level during test time. There were a lot of questions regarding privilege which I think was adequately covered in the TDC program. I think the pre-test pep talk was very helpful in giving tips on how to take the test in a smart way. I would highly recommend this program to anyone!
I followed your program to the letter, including your advice to take a break at question 100 and eat my fruit leather. I took my break at exactly question 100 and ate two fruit leathers. Great program and I am recommending it to any interns I encounter who will be embarking on this test.
This program works. It will get you ready to pass the Law and ethics exam. It will provide you with the foundation of knowledge that you need to pass. TDC will give the the feelings of peace. You will pass if you follow diligently all the study materials.
My story is a rather interesting one. I took the SWE twice and failed both times. The test structure then changed and I had to take the Law and Ethics exam. I took it and failed it by one point and came a bit unglued in the process. I was tempted to give up though the time and commitment that I had put into this pursuit pushed me to continue forth and keep going until I passed. I didn't really take into account how profound these exams are and how tricky they can be to pass. For my second time around with the Law and Ethics exam I put all of my heart and soul into it. I had two coaching sessions and had other friends and colleagues coaching me and encouraging me. I did not schedule the test until I was absolutely ready. I knew that I could not handle another fail. I changed test sites as I had negative associations with the one closest to me. My fiance told me that he would take me to Disney Land after I passed the test at the Anaheim site. Lo and behold! I did pass! And afterwards, we had a wonderful trip to Disney Land! I knew that this time was different and I would pass it for sure. My heart was racing and pounding and my hands were shaking but I passed! My advice for others is to absolutely believe in yourself. You can do this! I am venturing on now to take the clinical exam and I now know the degree of studying and security with the subject matter that needs to happen in order to pass. It takes determination and trust that your experiences up until this point as well as your diligence to study will get you a pass and not a fail. TDC was awesome! I almost felt embarrassed at times with the amount of questions I asked and the amount of coaching I had...but in the end, I was received with compassion, empathy and a positive point of view! Thank you! I will continue on with TDC for the next exam!
OMG! I am so thrilled that I passed the MFT clinical exam the second time around! I followed through with what Amanda recommended on her pep talk and also remained confident that I would know how to effectively use the strategies to reason through the answers on each question. I have to admit that the test was long and I really didn't get the feeling that I was passing. As Amanda mentioned, I kept with the program and was aware that I would likely feel that way. In essence, it helped me not to freak out! I used Therapist Development Center to pass the first MFT Exam as well. This is a great program to understand concepts and to be able to apply them to any scenario. Thank you to Amanda and her team for coming up with this program. You have made studying interesting, meaningful, and fun!
