Social Work Exam Prep Reviews

Ashley Wolfe,

Because of the Therapist Development Center's focused, targeted approach, I went into the L&E exam with confidence. The practice questions and explanations (make sure you listen to the explanations after the fact) prepared me to think about the issues in a different way. As I took the exam, I was able to use the reasoning skills I learned from the TDC test prep. I also appreciated how the prep materials were organized and gave me exactly what to study and prioritize. No guess work! It made the exam process feel less stressful. I recommend the Therapist Development Center to anyone looking to truly feel ready to tackle your exam!

This program really helped me read the question in a different and easy way. Looking at these question and what order to place the answers in made a huge difference. I passed the test today and had 111 questions correct (needed 98 to pass). Thanks.

Listen up folks: typically when you read reviews of study materials, they come from individuals who more than likely passed the test recently. They are excited and feel like a burden has been lifted off their shoulders (it really does feel like it when you pass, you're soo excited), but if you're like me you tell yourself 'these folks are only excited because they passed so of course they're going to say how great this program is.' Then you got me; fellow social workers I have spent approximately $1800 over a 3 year span on study materials i.e bootcamps, LEAP, ASWB study guides, various CD's and of course paying to take the exam over again.....4 times to be exact. So believe me when I say that this program is different. In my observation most programs out there have the content readily available but ladies and gentlemen it's all about the DELIVERY! The TDC has managed to simplify the material in such a way that it is easy to remember and more importantly understand. The TDC even gives you a study guide on how to break down your study sessions. I honestly feel that even if I had failed for a fifth time, I would still give this program the same review. The material has been simplified and makes studying for the exam less intimidating. Being able to access the lectures anywhere and at any time is great for those drives to work or any other setting. So learn from my expensive mistake; this has been my experience. Thank you TDC.

I passed the first LCSW exam before the restructure without any issues. I felt TDC's study guides, quizzes, and audio lectures were great. I failed the clinical exam once. I took a break for a few months and then decided to go at it again. Thankfully, TDC gave me access to the study guide for the clinical exam post-restructure. I studied for a good month 2-3 hours a day 4-5 days a week. I took the test June 29th and passed with a score of 123. While I'm more of an audio learner and would have appreciated more audio lessons on topics in the quick studies, I felt this program prepares you for the exam feel, the rigor, its content and its structure.

I passed the LCSW on the first try thanks to The Therapist Development Center. Don't waste time or money with anything from the ASWB. I didn't follow the proposed study guide due to time constraints and my own learning style and spread it out over the course of approximately six weeks with the most intensive time spent in the five days preceding the exam date. I took copious notes on the available PDF handouts as I listened to the lectures and went back many times and read my notes. I took the quizzes multiple times. I took the mock exams twice each and went through and reviewed my answers in between takes. I also found it helpful to review my notes between exams. As for the exam, I went straight through once and flagged about 15 questions along the way. When I finished, I went back to the flagged questions. I went through the entire exam again and did change two answers. I completed the exam in 3 hours and 50 mins. I also took 2 quick bathroom breaks and 1 quick water break. I advise you to bring a jacket and wear long pants if you have a tendency to feel cold. Nothing may be brought into the exam room except yourself. I am glad I invested in this prep course. I felt very confident going into the test & successfully passed with a 79%. I highly recommend this company. Thank you!!
