MFT Exam Prep Reviews

Sara Dungan, MFT

I received my letter last night that I passed the MFT exam!  Such a HUGE blessing!  When I was looking for programs to study for the MFT in July, I decided TDC was worth the extra money (in comparison to the other programs), because for me this test was not just about passing, I want to be the BEST therapist I can be and decided to go with the most comprehensive program. The money was worth it because not only did I pass the test, I am a MUCH better therapist because of this experience. Thanks TDC!

Leslie Burkes, MFT

I used TDC for both the Law & Ethics and Clinical and passed on the first attempt. The Clinical Exam was challenging and the questions on the exam were often convoluted. TDC's focus on reasoning, as well as strategies for exam day, was really helpful. A big thank you to Robin Gluck for her thoughtful and comprehensive answers to mock exam questions.

This is such a great course, it really gave me peace of mind and confidence. The course first helps to plot a strategy of how to study. It is difficult to know where to start and how much to concentrate on each subject. It next develops a point of view which enables the exam taker to better interpret questions. Most of all, it prepares the exam taker for the day the exam by fostering endurance, resilience, and self care (including recommending snacks, which turned out to be a really good idea!).

I used TDC for both the Law and Ethics and Clinical MFT exam, and passed on the first attempt. In both exams you feel like you are not going to pass and the intensity is high. The TDC material helped me have a strategy to tackle the test. I took the breaks even when I felt I was behind. At the end the strategies helped me rule out answers and the breaks gave me a second wind to tackle the last hour of the exam. Trust the TDC process.

Aida Viveros,

Last January I took another program but I didn't understand how the test was and how to study. So I decided to try TDC and I love it. I was able to understand how to approach the test and what the BBS wanted. When I got the results I really was impressed because I ran out of time. I was in the question # 58 and I had only 10 more minutes to finish. I read the questions very fast and I focus in the last part of the question that it is the question. I only answered the question. The strategies that Amanda recommends are excellent starting with the organization, setting goals and reviews. I followed everything. In addition to that, I prepare how I was going to eat during the process the day before and the day of the test. Since the test was after lunch and I didn't want to feel sleepy. What I did I switched my meals. I had salmon and vegetables for breakfast at 7 am then I ran to Zumba at 10, and for lunch I had a smoothie (almond milk, walnuts, blueberries and one date). I didn't get the sleepiness for lunch. I think the whole process help me pass the test.
