This program was undoubtedly a worthwhile investment in preparing for the standard written exam. It was straightforward and "uncluttered;" the step-by-step process helped me feel organized and gave me the sense that I was progressing, which helped to reduce my overall anxiety. In addition to building and reinforcing my knowledge of content, it also provided me with important strategies to manage the anxiety I had about the exam. I like how the materials are imbued with Amanda's personality, helping me feel like I was not alone in this process. The ability to contact a coach was also helpful in clarifying rationales and content and in making me feel less alone in the process.
Thank you, thank you. The way you taught the program was so helpful when I was trying to decipher what the question was asking and what the best answer would be. The frames were invaluable. They kept me focused and helped me manage my anxiety. It was also helpful to imagine being present with my clients. It was more about what would I do, not what did I memorize. Thank you again!
Thank you Amanda and TDC for creating a program perfectly fit for me and my anxiety! I work full time and needed a study system that didn't make me feel totally overwhelmed with an already overwhelming caseload. TDC was PERFECT for me. I knew from the first audio recording that I was going to like the study system. During the test, I did exactly what Amanda said to do: I stayed present with the questions, reasoned through them with her voice in my head, and reminded myself that it is totally normal to feel like I was failing the whole time. The material covered was useful and was laid out very clearly, but I found the test strategies to be what saved me on exam day. TDC came highly recommended by some colleagues and I have told more people than I can count about the program. THANK YOU! Now on to the CVE!
Your materials were easy to follow and straight forward without all the fluff the Gerry Grossman program uses!!!
This program was very comprehensive and enlightening. I exactly knew what to expect on the exam. During the exam, I kept reminding myself Amanda's supportive tips on how to stay focused, move forward, and lean into the information given in each question. She was right about the feelings of panic and anxiousness that this exam can cause. I certainly experienced both. Yet, when each time I stepped outside of the testing room to take a sip of juice and squeeze of REI energy gels, I was able to return to the test with more ability to focus and more patience to move at a pace comfortable to me. Up to the very end of examination, I had no clue if I was gong to pass it. But I did, mostly because I practiced and practiced and practiced. But I also think that Amanda’s sense of reason and clear instruction behind this process gave me more confidence and information necessary to do it. I do not think that I overstudied—perhaps understudied a little—yet the information at hand was perfectly sufficient.
