MFT Exam Prep Reviews
I'm so grateful I found TDC. I used only TDC to study for both the SWE and CVE and passed both on the first try. The test taking strategies are absolutely invaluable. I heard Amanda's voice in my head during the whole exam, focused on my frames, was confident about my Xs, and didn't let myself go to "maybe land." Thank you so much TDC!! I’m finally an LMFT!
Amanda Rowan, I love you. My family loves you. Uh oh, I think this is a boundary crossing ;-) but I truly appreciate the brilliant coach that you are. Your excellent lectures, coaching, and materials helped me pass the CA Written Exam the first time around. Despite the clock running down faster than I thought it would due to my slow reading, I felt very prepared and I was able to remain present and use the reasoning skills you taught to get as many points possible and it worked! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
All I can say is, thank you, thank you, thank you, Amanda. I took you with me into the exam in spirit and (your voice, yes, it really works) and followed your recommendations to the letter. I passed the MFT written exam on the first try.
I was working full time during my period of studying for the exam. The materials helped me organize and structure what I needed to learn with the time available to me for studying.
It has been a long journey for me to pass both MFT tests. I passed the first test on my third try, using Gerry Grossman. The first time I missed by 7; the second time I missed by 1! I finally passed on December 31st, 2014. Then I was eligible to take the second test. If it weren't stressful enough just to study, I have two little ones and another on the way. A good friend of mine recommended the Therapist Development Center and swore it was the best. I wanted a direction, a method, a way to frame the exam; I definitely got it with the Therapist Development Center. It is evident because I passed the second test yesterday on my first try, nine months pregnant! The method, the plan of attack, and the sheer knowledge that is given in the lectures and handouts are all you need to pass the test. With an extremely busy life, I studied for 2 weeks and was confident that I could tackle the test head on. That confidence only comes when you feel ready. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and your experience! If I can do it nine months pregnant, anyone can follow your program and be confident to pass!
