Thank you for your program! I feel like there is a lot I look forward to processing about this exam and what it means for my practice moving forward. Thank you for helping me a better clinician!

Passed the California MFT exam on Friday after taking the National exam on Nov. 15 of last year. Moved to Idaho middle of last year from CA and decided to take both exams so I could get licensed in both states. I found the CA exam to be a BEAST and was much more difficult than the National exam. I finished the national exam with 40 minutes left on the clock and only had 5-1/2 minutes left on the CA exam. I actually panicked slightly yesterday as I saw the clock ticking away and all remaining questions were LENGTHY vignettes with long, multiple grouping answers. I feel like I rushed the last 25 or so questions on the CA exam and prayed I wasn't missing something. The first final mock (the one that is an absolute beast) really prepared me for the length of the CA exam. National exam had several recall questions.... I can't remember a SINGLE recall question on the CA exam. Very few theory questions (structural, existential, bowen, and maybe one client-centered). I would say 85% of the CA exam was "what would you do if...." type questions. Maybe 10 or so diagnosis questions. So glad it's over!!!! Thank you TDC....would not have passed both these exams on the first try without your help. :)

I am sooo happy I decided to use the TDC for studying for this exam! It is extremely helpful to hear explanations and the mock exams are wonderful! I have recommended this program to EVERYONE.
THANK AGAIN!!!

Going through the program was a rollercoaster I was confident in the beginning the study sections were comfortable.. after the first mock exam I lost all confidence because I ran out of time my score was between 50 and 51 … I was devastated... then I listened to the final pep talk... even when I wanted to reschedule it was the pep talk that helped me breathe and actually take the exam… I made a goal to be on at least question 85 at the 2hr mark... when I checked I was on 91.. blazing through... I received my results and said “Kay you were over prepared for that exam” TDC had a lot to do with that. Thank you.

I felt over prepared and that was good. There were some questions that seemed familiar and I was able to attack them easily. What helped the most was what got drilled into me during the mock exams--pay attention key details in the vignette: who shows up, referral source, how long they have been in treatment, crisis factors, and most importantly, what am I being asked to do: assess, act, or create goals. Thanks so much!

This was so helpful and helped me feel very prepared, I appreciate all the time and effort it took/takes to put this together. Thank you!

Got passing scores on TDC last three full mock exams. On real exam, I didn't finish last three questions due to running out of time possibly due to reading some questions more than once, and taking a quick bathroom break at question 100. Not sure if I have undiagnosed ADD that got better as an adult with coffee or our tech culture makes it difficult to sustain focus on reading 170 vignettes in a row. Proctor gave me score report that said I passed and am so grateful after starting MFT grad school 6 years ago on this challenging and rewarding journey. Reading the question first before the vignette helped prime me what to look for such as assessment, crisis, diagnosis, treatment planning, or treatment question. Thank you TDC!

I loved this course. I have dyslexia and this course offered me an auditory way to take in the information and built up my confidence to pass. The timelines in the course are proposed for neurotypical people, so try to ignore the time suggestions as much as possible and estimate for your own pace and accommodations.

I was becoming frustrated with the mock exams and thought I would fail with my mock scores. But, when I took the exam I was shocked with how many questions I felt confident answering and how calm I felt taking the test. I think the study material, audio, and mock exams prepared me mentally and emotionally for the exam. You realize you know the material, it is just being prepared and ready to use it in a timed session. Glad I used this test prep.
