Social Work Exam Prep Reviews

Susanna Zoeckler,
I loved everything. The study sheets were great and the audio was very helpful. I like that it addresses multiple learning styles in one program.

I used TDC for both the Law and Ethics Exam and the ASWB Clinical Exam. Their study system is structured, yet flexible which allowed me to have a life while working full-time and studying. TDC offered essential strategies needed to answer challenging questions on the exam and fully prepared me for all the recall questions on the exam as well. I would recommend TDC to anyone looking for a supportive, comprehensive, and streamlined approach in preparing to pass their exams.

Taking the LCSW has been a long journey for me. I started in February 2015 studying for the California standard exam using TDC. At this time my confidence was low. I studied for too long and I ended up failing by 1 point in June 2015. This was due to me taking too long to answer questions and not even finishing the exam. I had 10 more questions to answer. Due to California changing from the standard written to the National ASWB exam and the 6 month re-examination wait, I had to prepare to study for the new Law and Ethics and National ASWB exam. TDC was very gracious and provided me with new study materials at no charge because they understood that the time line was out of my hands. On top of all of this, I moved to NY state in 2016. This year I am proud to say that I passed the CA law and ethics exam in March, ASWB's masters exam for NY in June, and CA Clinical exam in September. TDC's program was extremely helpful and concise. I can now say I am an LMSW in NY and LCSW in CA.

First, thank you for the extension. I earned my MSW degree 18 years ago at which time the ONLY reason to get a license was if one intended to hang a shingle and do private practice therapy and I never wanted to do that. My first MSW job was on an acute care Geriatric-Psychiatry unit. Next, I managed a Memory Care unit (loved it) and then spent 12 years at a metropolitan hospital/Trauma Center. I am now working in home health. I saw the writing on the wall and got into supervision for licensure four years ago though I admit I resented it. Fortunately, I could not have had a better supervisor. But this exam has been hanging over my head for 2 years. Ew. At one point, I went to an ASWB test workshop which I thought was minimally helpful. Then I bought the flashcards and nearly fainted at the sheer volume of information needed to know that I sure did not know. TDC was recommended by colleagues and suddenly there was the information neatly organized and presented in do-able tasks. For me, TDC's best and most helpful parts were the practice tests, the Quick Studies (from which I made my own flashcards), and the Top 50 Topics. I listened the the lectures on the Top 50 Topics again the weekend before I took the exam- it was a great refresher! 18 years in the field can lead to a degree of arrogance and TDC directed my thinking with encouragement and not condescension. I appreciate that. I passed with a score of 87%. Woohoo! It would be difficult for me to overstate the importance of passing this exam as I start the final ten years of my working life. TDC was tremendously helpful in many ways in getting me there and seeing me through it successfully. Thank you.

This program was amazing. I have test anxiety and have no confidence in myself when it comes to taking exams. The program allowed me to feel more confident in myself and gave me strategies of what to look for when taking the test. The practice quizzes and tests, as well as the lectures and quick studies, were amazing!! I felt extremely prepared. Thank you! I recommend this program to anyone applying to take the clinical exam!!
