Social Work Exam Prep Reviews

Annia Cuebas-Colon, LCSW

I took the first test and failed miserably. It took me a couple of months to have the courage to request it again. I was feeling discourage, specially when I heard other people passing their test during the first time. I have anxiety testing and English is not my first language, so I felt defeated. My sister paid for this program because I did not have the money to pay for it and I started studying again. Once I started this program, I felt more organized and from what I could remember from the test I felt like this program nailed most if not all the topics that were included in the test. When I started the test my mind went blank, all I could remember was your tips about the key words and looking for the answers they want and not what I thought would the answer should be and that is what I did. I seriously thought that I was going to fail again because my anxiety made me feel that way... and so I passed! I know if I did not use this program I probably would have found myself in the same predicament because the workbook that I bought prior to this program was not providing the tools I needed and the information that this program provides. I would recommend this program to all my colleagues and friends. Thank you!!

Lisa Theo,

I would 100% recommend TDC to any colleague or friend that is looking to take any type of exams that is offered by TDC. The program overall is very well constructed and developed. I am a visual learner and I have to say that it is not easy to listen to the audio; however, I have learned to appreciate it as I was able to take it every where with me. I took the LCSW Law & Ethics Exam, and I passed on my first try! I am a full time employee and I will say that finding the time to study is very difficult to balance. I am thankful that I was able to complete half of the TDC study materials before going in to take the actual exam (yes, you bet I was nervous!). However, the practice exams that I was able to take really helped me out when I was sitting in the testing center. Everything that I was able to study really helped me eliminate the answers that did not make sense to the question. I am proud to say that I am now one step closer to my dream! Thank you to the entire TDC team. :)

I took the LCSW oral exam for the second time June 6, 1987. I did not pass. I have worked as a Social Worker for 36 years. I had given up hope of ever passing this exam. However, about 6 years ago a co-worker encouraged me to attempt again. I was not at all confident that I would be able to achieve this goal. However, with the support of my family, my work family and TDC, I am now a LCSW!! I still can't believe this happened!! Your program was so well organized, clearly presented, well managed and comfortable. The small steps were easy to manage (mind you, not simple, but easy to study) and worked to build my confidence. The constant reminders re: "how to think" were so helpful. The study guides, tests, and answer explanations were excellent. It was as though you took years of study and put it into a few hours. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to the success of other Social Workers. Thank you for helping me achieve a life long goal. Thank you.

I bought TDC in Spring 2018 with the intension of slowly studying to be ready when I finished my hours. Well, life happened. From being in a major car accident with subsequent bed rest and PT, to getting pregnant and experiencing nausea/exhaustion/pregnancy brain, it’s safe to say I took the test MONTHS after I originally hoped to. The whole way through, TDC was understanding and supportive, giving me extensions while encouraging me to keep going. Additionally, I really do believe in the recommendation to do the program twice. Once I finished the program the first time, going through it again really instilled confidence that I knew what I was doing, or reminded me of those little nuances that are glances over the first time around. I scored pretty well (in my opinion) on most of the Mock Tests (passing or just passing), but when I disagreed or really didn’t understand the rationales given for the questions I got right, I reached out to TDC and they processed with me until I got it. Unfortunately, this test is not just about testing your clinical skills, but testing how well you can take and rationalize through a grueling exam. TDC definitely prepared me for that. If I can pass at 8 months pregnant, anyone can :)

I started studying for my exam while in the middle of a military move. My husband was overseas, and I had a lot on my plate. I failed the first time by 4 points, feeling unprepared by the time I left. The study prep I used did not prepare me for reasoning based questions not did they cover information I needed to be successful. There was soo much material to study, and with school-aged children in the middle of a move is daunting. I turned to TDC after getting settled and taking some time to recoup from the frustrations when I began reading testimonials online and conducting research on other study prep programs. I wish I would have used the program to begin with. Heidi was soo helpful and thoroughly answered my questions. I feel like I know Amanda so well, I hope one day I can meet you! There was soo much support that I went in there and attacked the test instead of letting it own me. I can’t be any happier with how I did on the exam, and I owe it to the resources TDC provided me. Thank you!
