wonderful experience
I finally passed after 3 previous attempts. I scored a 105 and needed a 102. I strongly believe that TDC material prepared me for the test by shaping my perspective differently through the structured program. Although I felt as if I had scored a lot higher I am just happy I had enough to pass this time and do not have to worry about it ever again!!! Thank you TDC
My first attempt at the test was in October 2020. I failed by 4 points I feel like I was prepared however I definitely did not pick a good time to take the test it was at 8am and the site was an hour away and I did not get enough sleep. I was extremely tired for the first half of the test. I was yawning and dozing off. I was really tired.
My second attempt was on June 28, 2021. I passed by 4 points. I only studied TDC material. When I took the sample test and saw information that wasn't familiar I researched it as well. This program 100% worked for me. I thank you all for this program I also thank you for resetting the final mock test to retake after I failed the first time, that was extremely helpful. This time around I scheduled the test for the afternoon and it was perfect. I was well rested and ready to go. I prayed and had faith that God would get me through spiritually, mentally and TDC got me through practically.
Thank you all :)
I felt very overwhelmed with all the material for the exam, including with my exam prep book, and life. TDC really helped me to stay organized and confident about my ability to pass the exam.
The questions on your mock exams were excellent. In some ways your test was a bit harder, more clinical and prepared me even more than I needed, The majority of the actual test was application so your mock exams did an excellent of preparing for the types of questions. There were very few (less than 5) questions that tested something I had not heard of. The reason I passed the exam is because your prep was the best. I checked out a few other exam preps and none compare to this program. Thank you so much.
The exam prep covered all the important areas, including how to feel calm and confident during the test (yes, I spoke to Amanda during the test :-) ), marking challenging questions and moving on, and even the tip on eating a banana right before and bringing juice (I brought a "focus" vitamin water drink) for midway were a huge help. I ended up passing with an 87%.
I took the exam years ago without using any study system. Didn’t know how to study for exam. Didn’t pass. I waited to long to take exam again & loss hours. I had to get supervision again for many hours. My supervision was through the pandemic. I originally started with Gerry Grossman. I don’t like his style on program. I decided I would use Therapists... which I used to pass my Law & Ethics exam & passed. I love your syestem. It feels personal. It’s like you’re hear with me. I’m so grateful & I would only recommend your program. Thank you Amanda!
Just a thank you.
I've been a LSW since 06. I completed my clinical hours part time while working full time, in 2019. I was planning to take my exam in April 2020, right when everything shut down due to Covid19 restrictions.
My kids chipped in and bought me the Therapists Development Center prep course for Mother's Day. They knew how very important this was to me, as they had watched me struggle through school and work as a single mother most of their lives. I had one single attempt after an extension from the board post covid; June 30th to pass, and the 28th was the only date available to schedule in 3 surrounding states. I scheduled in March after the extension was received. Needless to say I was in a panicked state.
I started the TDC program on May 22nd, and passed my LSCW on my first attempt today!
Just wanted to say thank you for your amazing program. I found the curriculum to be all inclusive and supportive of exam content. It was easy to navigate, and retain/regain the material, after almost 15 years. The sections on DSM were fantastic and got me quickly up to speed on changes I have a limited working knowledge in, due to my hospice experience, as well as every day in program development. (I am accustomed to just looking it up.)
I am grateful for you and the content, as well as for my coach Heidi, who was responsive and resourceful.
So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for assisting in attaining my clinical license, almost 15 years after receiving my Master's! My family and I are thrilled that this part of our journey has ended and our new story can begin.
With a grateful heart,
Donna from NJ (an original Brooklyn girl)
I have used TDC before and I love their program. The topics are broken down into manageable parts. I am an auditory learner so I love that the lectures are recorded. TDC's questions were consistently more complex which made the ones on the exam easier to parse through. I was prepared and I did pass on the first attempt. My only critique was that the version of the clinical exam that I took did not focus nearly as much on the Top 50 topics, DSM, or clinical scenarios. I found that there was a lot more macro based questions, like a question on leadership styles. Overall, I think this is a great program.
It was the organization for me. Sometimes big goals like this can be hard to break down into digestible, foundational, learning blocks that you can build on with a sense direction. Where I lacked confidence, this study prep helped me gain insight. I walked into the test with such a good understanding of it, questions that I needed to take slower versus ones that I knew right away. I could recognize what type of question it was, which allowed me to understand what type of answer was needed. After each practice exam, the ones I got wrong - I knew why it was wrong, but I also knew why I answered the way I did, which allowed me to exercise that new insight in real time during the actual test. The investment is in you with this study prep. I'd do it again (but I don't have to)!!!
