All of the instruction on how to think through the questions was very helpful. The knowledge covered was comprehensive. And the pep talk at the end provided good strategies for test-taking. I felt confident during the test that I would likely pass even though I knew I would get some wrong. I passed with the same approximate score that I received on the final 4-hour mock exams, and there were no major surprises.

Choose this website to study for your social work exam. I just passed my exam 2 days ago and the reasoning skills this site teaches are what you will be tested on. I had very few memory only questions. Nearly every question on my test required using reasoning skills to discriminate among various social work situations. TDC gives you quizzes and then goes over the reasoning why one answer is the best. When I was taking the test I could here the voice of Amanda and the others saying "a is something you would do but not necessarily first, C is a strong answer as a and b could be rolled into it" and so on. I used a Brand X site that only asked questions and told you if they were right or wrong. I know for a fact some of there answers were incorrect.
Again, the way to pass the social work test is to bone up on your reasoning skills, that's what The Therapist Development Center teaches.

I found the course to be immensely helpful. I have struggled with test taking in the past and post concussion struggled even more. I don't think I would have been able to pass if it wasn't the thorough explanations of how to analyze the stem question, the audio explanations of top 50 topics, and the many practice tests which were available and realistic to the actual test.

I took the LCSW exam today for the first and last time! I passed with 83% and truly have this program to thank. While writing the test during the stress of a global pandemic I could still hear Amanda's voice coaching me through those tricky questions. I can't think the staff at this program enough for giving me the confidence I needed to ace the test!

one question on the exam was the exact same as the 'grounding veteran with PTSD' question on my practice test. I felt very comfortable as the exam was 90% or more situational - which was the same as TDC's preparation. I had no questions dealing with Erikson, Freud, or other developmental models, but most of what I learned helped me immediately rule out multiple answers. I knew the answer to most questions and was able to eliminate down to the correct answer several times. I answered 121 correct and needed 103 to pass.

This course guides you to the right areas and depth of study. If you follow their advise step by step, you WILL pass the test. It was VERY helpful.

I am thankful that I used this system. It put me in the thinking mode for taking the LSCW. The most helpful part was having a logical set up study guides to help keep me focused. I would NOT have passed without this system.
