Today was THE day! After 31/2 years of studying and testing 5x, I finally slayed the BEAST!! passed my Clinical social work exam!
I am an LCSW!
I’m in shock and completely emotionally and physically exhausted. I can say that the difference between this time and the other 4 times, is that I changed EVERYTHING. I started sharing my struggle and accepting support. I made the decision to spend the money for TDC instead of isolating and thinking I could “do this by myself”. TDC for me, was a perfect learning tool as I now know that I am an auditory learner. The TDC helped me to structure and plan my studying as well as break down questions and answer to the test, NOT what I would do! I had to put my direct clinical work experience aside and learn to isolate what the stem of the questions were asking. Additionally I jumped in many Agents of Change You Tube podcasts. Vey easy to listen to! My support system carried me through the emotional journey. I refused to indulge in negative thinking and literally forced only positive affirmations into my thoughts. I visualized Passing and prayed ALOT. my go to: “Remove my Fear and fill me with Faith!” I will say, taking a break in the middle and drinking juice/eating a banana was KEY. I gave myself a huge pep talk in the bathroom stall and refocused my efforts to finish the test strong! I want to thank all of you here who I cried with(privately) and cheered with. My husband and kids allowed me to be scared and carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. I made a decision to take the course out of state in a different environment than the last 4 times. LET GO, LET GOD and Press On! This test is hard. Keep the faith, perseverance and willingness to change up your plan, will pay off! My path is clear, the sunlight is bright and the opportunity to service others is exponential!!!

I got 132 when you only need 102. Felt really proud of myself for that.

I took the exam for the second time on March 17 and passed. I missed the exam by a couple points a year ago. I genuinely felt supported by The Therapist Development Center. I began studying again about 8 weeks ago and the passing score for the exam was 103. I scored a 117! Thank you for helping me grow in my confidence as a therapist!!!

I honestly was a little skeptical before purchasing this study program, as I wasn’t sure how much help this would actually be and did not want it to be a waste of money. The TDC study material was so organized and so helpful, I cannot recommend this program enough. I have told all of my fellow LCSW interns to purchase it before taking the exam and have also told my non social work friends about it. This program made me feel prepared and truly believe that it helped me pass the LCSW exam the first time. Thank you for putting this program together!

I loved the structure, quick and easy to follow study guides, quizzes, and audios!

I want to thank TDC, Amanda, Heidi, and their entire staff for this program that they have created for people to achieve their dreams of becoming LCSWs. I would not have passed without the help of TDC's thoroughness, organization, materials, and their endless ability to answer my questions and clarify anything I needed and I asked A LOT of questions. As a mom to a young toddler, currently pregnant, and still living in the pandemic, the LCSW exam felt daunting, overwhelming and almost impossible to pass. With the LCSW Study program, the TDC broke down the sections, gave helpful times, a suggested time table to use (which I loosely followed), and had the audio lectures available that I listened through the whole thing at least twice. While the exam itself was still a challenge for me, and there were questions that I was not familiar with, Amanda prepared me with that during the study program and really instilled the confidence that I needed to go in and tackle it. I am so incredibly proud of myself for passing this on the first try and add the letters LCSW to my name. I would highly recommend this to anyone as it is worth every penny and your work and effort that you put into it will pay off!

TDC gave me the confidence to PASS this exam the first time! I felt so prepared and able to focus during the exam because I followed their tried and true method that led to my success, I would recommend it this program to any social workers ready to sit for the LCSW clinical exam!

I was very concerned about passing the exam, so I made the investment in myself to purchase the program and never looked back. There are formats for all of the learning styles - pick one or use all. It works.

I felt that the study material was perfect for the test. It took sometime getting acclimated to the study material and setting a study schedule. Due to COVID and limited testing dates, I was able to extend my time with the program. I went through the program four times since I was unable to find a testing date. I saved the final mock exams until I was able to get a test date. I felt prepared for the test after going through twice. The mock tests were reflective of the actual exam. Overall, this program prepared me for the test.

Its finally my turn. I have to give much praise to Therapist Development Center for boosting my confidence. After failing the LCSW exam with other prep material I decided to give TDC a try. It was the best decision. TDC gets to the point in regards to reviewing information for the test. Most importantly knowing how to answer the question and eliminate wrong answers. I was so confident to take the test and passed with 119 only needing 103. I would highly recommend completing this program. Thanks to contributing to this life changing moment. I am forever grateful.
