Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! I passed my LCSW exam on the 1st try in March 2021 using the Therapist Development Center (TDC) program. I was first impressed that as a veteran I did not have to pay for the program. I simply provided TDC proof of my military service. The TDC course helped me to strategize my studying plan, I began to study in January 2021 and took the exam at the end of March. I felt very confident going into the exam. I liked the advice TDC gave me regarding taking a break and eating a snack halfway between the exam. I felt my brain reenergize when I took a short break and drank some fresh grape juice. I especially found the quick studies, quizzes, and practice tests very helpful. The program was easy to follow and I was very pleased. Amanda and Bethany were great at explaining each topic. They are knowledgeable about clinical social work. I have already recommended TDC to my friends, colleagues, and coworkers. TDC is worth the investment. Thank you, TDC.
There's a reason why everyone swears by this program. It is ABSOLUTELY worth it. I am 7 years removed from grad school, so there was A LOT of re-familiarizing myself to certain recall questions. When I took the pre-test, I didn't do so well. But this program does an amazing job structuring the prep and I was able to build momentum as I followed the course outline. By the end of it, I felt significantly more confident than when I started.
Today, I took the exam and while the usual bouts of self-doubt crept in, I was able to go through each question with a process that I've developed during my time prepping. I passed it in one try and I am so thankful for TDC's help.
Thank you very much! I really appreciate all your help and my good result at the end. Highly recommend this program!.
I would like to thank TDC for sticking with me.
FABULOUS program. I was well prepared to PASS my exam.
Thank you TDC for helping me pass the LCSW exam on my first try. The organization of a sequenced plan to follow was a good fit for me. I am a 61 year old grandmother of three and your program gave me structure, knowledge, and confidence ... and I followed the tip to imagine taking Amanda in the test room with me!
TDC did wonderful in breaking down the material. The rationals really helped me look at the questions the way the test wanted me to. The quizzes also helped soo much. I can't thank the makers of TDC enough. So glad I used TDC for both my masters level and clinical level exams. I will recommend TDC to all social workers looking to pass the exam.
The TDC really helped me prepare for the exam but it was also a great refresher. There were topics and terms that were not on the exam, which I was relieved by, but had they been, I know I was fully prepared to answer them. The lectures are easy to follow and although not required, I still took notes and made flashcards for certain topics. I am very happy with the course and the fact that I passed the exam on my first try!
I loved the "50 Topics." I also really loved the "DSM: What's the Difference" audio preps. I've never heard anyone do anything like that and it was so helpful! The Ethics audio needs help. Ethics is dry enough as it is, but reading the code to me is not helpful. And the Ethics quiz review was not helpful. I don't feel like I got sufficient explanations for why my wrong answers were wrong. The Macro Made Manageable audio prep was also very good. The quizzes and practice exams on most topics were helpful.
My score was 122 and I needed 103. Testing materials made me feel very, very well prepared. I felt confident, but also took the ASWB offered practice exam two days before my scheduled exam date for my final preparation. The previous week, I took the two full Mock Exams. I finished early with no stress. My testing center did not allow for a snack stating the ASWB requirements indicated only a beverage could be consumed during a break. (Take a smoothie!) The most helpful test taking strategies were to put the potential answers in order to help with the DO FIRST and the DO NEXT questions. I did in fact hear the trainers voices as I worked through different problems.
