Amanda, last night I took and passed my LCSW exam (second attempt). I want to thank you and your team for your guidance and instruction. Your staff has always been prompt in responding to my questions and extremely helpful. Amanda, I took your "Final Review" sheet with me and read the last line just before going in to take the exam... "NOW GO PASS!" I'm convinced, that mindset made the difference!! Thanks again... onward!!
Passed on my first try!
I couldn't have passed if it wasn't for the TDC and the awesome coaches that helped me along the way.
I pushed up my test date and was able to cram 2 weeks of straight studying.

I passed my LCSW test on June 16, 2021 on my first try! I started to study in late February while waiting to have my hours approved. I followed the program as directed and completed it twice. TDC does a great job with organizing the study materials. The program was easy to follow and I did not feel overwhelmed. On the drive to the test site (hour and a half) I listened to the audio on 50 topics, DSM and final pep talk. I took a break at the 85 question mark to regroup. Ensure that you obtain all the rules from the testing site. Even though I was provided a locker I was not allowed to eat a snack. They allowed me to take a zip lock bag with cough drops. Thank you TDC for an amazing program.
When I started thinking about studying for the LICSW Clinical Exam, I felt overwhelmed by figuring out what I would actually need to study, and making a study plan. My friend sent me a 200 page PDF of possible topics to read through. I knew that this wouldn't be effective for me. The biggest selling point for me with TDC is that it gives you a study plan, and you know that you are not wasting your time studying topics that won't be tested. It made me feel so much more in control of my study prep for this exam, and I walked into the exam with a level of confidence I haven't experienced before in a testing setting. I passed on my first try with flying colors. I would recommend TDC to anyone taking a social work exam.
This program was wonderful and truly helped me feel prepared for the exam. I appreciated being able to listen to the lectures over and over and had Amanda’s voice in my head on test day!
Great program, as someone with ADHD that struggles with where to start, this course was super helpful in taking the stress of "how to study" off my plate. Thank you ladies!
Covers a wide variety of topics that are applicable to the exam and provides helpful self-care advise for prepping for the exam as well as taking care of yourself and your brain on exam day. Especially helpful if you have limited working experience in a mental health setting.
I would have never thought that a bunch of audio recordings could get me through an exam and have me really understand the material! The program has been amazing guiding me through every step! The night before my exam I went through my notes and the 50 topics and I knew that I had everything covered to pass the exam!
The Therapist Development Center's program is top notch! The program really prepared me to take and pass the LCSW exam. It broke the study material down into sections that made sense. It was a lot of information, but I did not feel overwhelmed in what I needed to study and what material was not necessary to study for the exam. I would recommend this program to anyone and everyone who is taking the clinical exam!
The TDC study materials were invaluable to me. I wasn't sure how to begin studying for the LICSW, and the framework provided by TDC was the perfect guide. The audio lectures combined with study material helped immensely in my preparation. The opportunity to take mock exams was so important in my success in passing the exam, as was the rationales provided for the correct answers. I highly recommend this program to anyone preparing to take the LICSW !
