I strongly recommend the Therapist Development Center to prepare you for your License Exam. I used this company's program to study for the LMSW, and 3 years later, the LCSW. I used other products (flashcards, and a study guide) to prepare for the LMSW exam, but the structure of this program is what was most beneficial for me. When it was time to study for the LCSW, I put complete faith in the TDC program and couldn't be happier with the results. Thank you Amanda!
Amanda and Bethany, I would like to thank you so much for your help in helping me pass my clinical exam on my third attempt! I struggle with high test anxiety where I often space out and "freeze." I spent months and months crying and stressing over this exam when I used other study books and sites, and ended up failing my exam twice. After going through the TDC study system, I felt confident and prepared to tackle those reasoning questions.
I just wanted to thank TDC for helping me finally pass this last exam of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. This was honestly my 3rd attempt. This time around I was more focused and able to apply the strategies learned through this program to the real exam today. The Top 50 topics, DSM review, Code of Ethics, Theories, Quick Studies, and mock exams were very helpful in helping me prepare this last time around. Another BIGGEST thing was managing my anxiety. I studied less than two weeks, which I do not recommend doing. However, that says a lot regarding the study material. I passed my exam!!
I really appreciated how comprehensive the TDC system was covering the surface of a lot of topics. Being a kinesthetic learner, the incorporation of listening to lectures with reading material and taking notes was very helpful for me. The tips for breaking down the questions and answers and preparing physically by incorporating specific routines before studying were surprisingly helpful. I have and will definitely recommend TDC to friends who will be taking their license exam in the near future!
I passed! This test was harder than what I had to do in grad school. However, the pre-tests and the rationales really helped me in understanding how to take the test. How to take it is the trick because, of course, we know what is legal and what is ethical; that is our bread and butter. However, you might not know what is right FIRST. That's what TDC can do for you. Learn what is important first.
This programs study material was helpful in understanding the key concepts and how to identify the best response given the information provided on the test questions. I felt that the knowledge was based on real experiences, which not only helped me pass the test, but is important when various legal and ethical situations arise in the workforce.
