I was so nervous going in to take the exam only to find that I was well prepared and capable of passing. It was as if TDC had given me all the right answers although they were not the same questions. Only one question threw me off. Otherwise TDC covered the questions and answers thoroughly. I am now preparing for the next exam in CA and wholeheartedly hope that TDC can help me prepare for that exam as well. Thank you for creating a system that seems fail proof.
I am so grateful that I was able to pass my exam on the first try. The only two ways I finish multiple choices tests is amazingly strong or I BOMB it unbelievably. I live in Denver, Colorado and the day of my test, it snowed about 8-10" in various parts of the city. Thank Goodness! I had listened to the top 50 topics lectures before yesterday but I somehow missed the 3rd lecture.
I have been through the program twice. The first time I was a bit overwhelmed by the process as it has been over 20 years since I completed grad school and 10 years practicing as an LCSW in my home state, after 10 years practicing as a Social Worker pre-licensing era. Imagine my angst when I relocated and was told I had to take the exam. I spotted the program in my NASW magazine and signed up immediately. This program has been the best experience, a great review and awesome prep.
I felt I had the test-taking strategies and confidence necessary to successfully pass the test after using Amanda's program. While taking the second test I felt I was failing the last half and was so surprised when I passed. I kept reminding myself that many people taking this test have the sense they are failing while passing, which really assisted me with not panicking.
I passed the standard written and clinical vignette LCSW exam the first time using Therapist Development Center. Amanda researched study taking strategies and incorporated them into her program. I would strongly recommend this program. The first time I took the exam I was not sure of how to go about studying so I went through various social work books and made flash cards; this did not prepare me the way I needed to be prepared. The Therapist Development Center's program organized my studying in a way that worked for me. In addition to that I had explanations for why an answer was the correct one which was such a help. Having the reason and explanation helped solidify my understanding better.
I have a very busy life with four children and did not have a lot of time to study. Amanda's program was so easy and effective that I was able to prepare in a short amount of time and take the exam feeling very comfortable. I passed it the first time and as I was taking it I knew I was passing, and even finished 35 minutes early.

I have had test anxiety since as long as I can remember having to take tests. The Therapist Development Center used expertise in the psychology of learning to help me realize that I could in fact pass this exam and without unnecessary anxiety or worries! I felt prepared and even excited to take the exam on test day because I knew I had taken all the necessary steps to do so. Thank You TDC for the clear, concise and concrete way study for this exams. I took the first exam in April and did not pass. I waited the 180 days and jumped back in to studying for test one. My work place offered a test bank from Gerry and it did nothing but confuse me and lower my confidence. I quickly turned back to using TDC to hone in. I used the tools, managed my stress and passed. I turned my paper work in for the Vignette exam and got permission and took the test on November 24th and passed.
