After taking the exam in 2008 and not passing I went right on to my doctoral coursework thinking that at some point I would get back to my LSW. When my dream job opened up and I got hired, I knew having my LSW was something I needed to get done. Having been out of school for SW for nearly 8 years I new I had to start somewhere. I did some research and learned about this program and I am so glad I did. Amanda lays everything out you need to know. She explains how to think about the test. This helps you truly understand what the test is testing.
There is no way I would have been able to pass this exam without this program. Using this program helped me stay organized, focus on what was important and ensure I thoroughly understood the most pertinent topics covered on the exam. I also feel like this program was a great refresher for so many things you forget from grad school. I have a newfound understanding for a lot of issues that I will carry with me beyond just the exam. So thankful for this program!!!
I have been through the program and didn't pass right off. This was due to my own anxiety, but once I addressed that I passed!! Bethany has been a true support and I couldn't have done this without her assistance. There were times I wanted to give up. Now, I can relax! Thank you all so much! Bethany, thank you for your consistency and continued support!
On December 29th I took the test and passed. This was my 4th try. I have anxiety very seriously and needed help to control that which I did get, along with signing up for your class. Between the two I finally passed and now can work in my new field of work with the elderly. I am so happy to get past this barrier and find a position that will bring help to those who need it, which are the elderly in hospice.
I highly recommend TDC! Not one time did I feel overwhelmed with the study materials. I felt more engaged throughout the study process. I'm so happy I came across this website! Thanks again for creating this great program! I am now a Happy LCSW-C!
I am a pretty anxious test taker and the TDC prepared me very well for my exam experience. TDC helped me to rely on my reasoning skills and the materials provided in their exam prep course covered nearly every aspect that I saw on the exam. I highly recommend TDC! Also, take what they say about contacting your testing center for snacks seriously. I brought a banana and some juice and was told I had to eat it before the exam :( and I definitely needed the snack/brain food around question 90.
I have never been great at taking standardized tests, but through the Therapist Development Center approach I was able to pass both my Law and Ethics exam and my Clinical ASWB exam first time for both. I know that it is primarily because of this center. Thank you so much!!
I really appreciated Bethany's help and reassurance over the phone. Thank you! I've never been a good 'test-taker' and have always struggled with reasoning-based tests, so I really think the program did what it was intended to do!
