MFT Exam Prep Reviews
Therapist Development Center far exceeds the other courses. The information in the audio files is much easier to absorb than worksheets or books. I will definitely use TDC for my licensing exam and I would recommend the course to all my colleagues.
I have always considered myself to be a horrible test taker. Give me a topic and a page limit, and I'd happily write, explain, justify, creatively outline almost anything -- but tests always destroyed my confidence. I could not be happier with the MFT Law and Ethics course. Not only did I feel confident in my factual knowledge of the material, but all of the different components boosted my confidence that I also had a working knowledge of Law and Ethics. One thing I looked for in testimonials, but did not find, was specifics on how people performed percentage wise on their practice tests. So I would like to share mine. On the first round of the practice tests, I scored 61%, 63% and 79%. At this point I was not very encouraged, but as Amanda said, I took the tests again after going through the Top 30 Lectures again. My scores SKYROCKETED! 97%, 97% and 95%. I was feeling really great until I took the mock tests. 79% on the first and 76% on the second. Granted, those were both passing scores, but I was hoping to get insanely high percentages on those mock exams so I could go into the exam stress free. Honestly, I am glad that I didn't. I needed the nerves because they kept me 100% present during the exam -- and that was the most important percentage of all. If you take anything from this, please believe me when I advise you to not get bogged down by number scores and percentages. Listen to the lectures, have someone NOT in the field listen to you explain the ABC's of Law and Ethics so you need to talk through them. Keep your nerves, talk through concepts out loud and be present. Amanda does the rest!
Thank you for providing good audios & easy to understand material. You were the best supervision ever!!!!
I took the MFT Law & Ethics exam today and passed on the first attempt. The test was challenging at times, primarily because some of the questions were poorly written or ambiguous, but Amanda's focus on reasoning was particularly helpful here. Lastly, Robin Gluck, was so helpful. We had a few conversations but I primarily emailed Robin the questions I missed on the mock exams and if I was unclear about the reasoning of the correct answer. She always replied in a timely and cogent manner. I will be using TDC for my clinical exam.
Passed after getting degree 25 years ago. Worked in the field for many years, but children, moving and life got in the way of taking licensing exams. Came back to work 3 years ago and finally accomplished goals yesterday. Thanks so much!!
