I really enjoyed the audio format combined with the handouts; it helps my learning style to hear things and see things being presented. I highly recommend this course for everyone (not just people who need it for their license renewal). It is super important to receive this training as a bare minimum for our field.

This course was highly informative and the degree of solemnity with which this material was presented required me to slow down and review several sections multiple times. I will keep the resource material for continued use in my practice. Thank you.

Personal anecdotes were very helpful. Courage to Live Continuum and Edge of Life model were very helpful too.

This course was incredibly helpful and informative! The inclusion of therapists' experiences in treating clients with suicidality was personally validating as I have perceived this lack since beginning my journey of becoming a therapist. I have searched out opportunities to improve my competency in this area, but most trainings are primarily assessment-focused and have little to offer regarding management and intervention. The Edge of Life model considers the experiences and interactions between the client and therapist to more effectively explore, engage, and treat clients' lived experiences of suicidality. I will incorporate much of this into my work as a private practice therapist and will be participating in all upcoming training opportunities as they emerge.

I really appreciated the presenter’s honesty and transparency about the topic , and the call out to the lack of education around these topics. It was also very validating to hear suicide being talked about with the client’s experience at the forefront, as this has always been natural for me, but I’ve always wondered if I was doing something wrong because my focus wasn’t primarily on documentation.
