The course was very helpful.

This course does a good job of normalizing the discomfort a clinician experiences in working with suicidal patients. I appreciated learning that I am not the only clinician who can do a solid risk assessment but feels more unsure about actual treatment of suicidal ideation. Sure, a safety plan is great, but how do we move beyond that and help someone get their life back? This course gives me ideas of additional things I need to work on or develop in my career which was helpful. For instance, a support network of colleagues where we talk openly about treating patients who are suicidal & how we feel about that, further training in treatment of suicidal ideation, and the importance of creating a supportive space that invites a patient to share about their thoughts/feelings and *hopefully* leaves them feeling heard, understood, and ultimately less alone in their emotional pain and suffering.

Helpful! Will use to sit with clients, manage my own countertransference, and share forms with other providers.

Really great strategies - and I truly appreciate this approach. I have struggled with suicidal ideation myself in the past - and I love the spiritual component - and the holistic approach.
