I have only used Therapist Development Center to get me through the licensing process in California. It has been tremendous! And I have felt confident along the way. The test taking strategies get you in a mind set to pass the test and to feel confident doing it. I told myself to be aggressive and to be kind to myself throughout the test and I felt much less anxiety on the ASWB clinical exam.

I put off taking the exam for the last several years and continued to procrastinate on scheduling the exam even after starting with TDC last fall! I was so anxious about taking it, but Amanda finally convinced me to just schedule the exam and DO IT! I think the program materials were very helpful, especially the lectures. I loved being able to print out the practice tests and follow along with the lecture and rationale.

I took the exam 2 times and did not pass. With English being my second language, it had been very difficult for me to study for this exam. Thank God for TDC for saving my job! I can now say that I'm a LCSW!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM!
Thanks TDC and Bethany! There is so much information to review, and I felt TDC really helped to narrow down the essential information needed to pass. Information presented felt manageable, I remembered it, and I felt the the process of studying was feasible. Sitting through the test, I did not feel surprised, as the variety of the questions and the phrasing of questions were similar to those on the mock exams.
I finally passed and I'm happy I chose the Therapist Development Center study program. As a busy mom who works full-time I appreciated how the program was so organized and had an easy to follow schedule. The practice mock exams were very beneficial. It is difficult to stay focused for 4 hours and by completing the mock exams I built up my endurance. I found every aspect to be helpful and the pep talk at the end was the clincher for me. I had failed the test twice.
