Eli Chance

Eli Chance is the Director for the Student Resource and Support Network (SRSN) at Cabrillo College. In this role, Eli assists students in acheiving success in education and career development. Eli is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 12 years experience working in Santa Cruz County with the Health Services Agency (HSA) in the Behavioral Health division. In his many roles with HSA, Eli worked directly to house and support our most vulnerable community members with serious mental illness and co-occuring substance use disorders. Eli is adept at holding complicated and challenging situations in a calm, thoughtful and proactive frame. He is skilled in project management, program development, policy and procedure development, process improvement and staff training and support. Eli is a trainer in both Trauma Informed Systems (TIS) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and utilizes these skills in his work every day; When not at work, Eli enjoys spending time in nature with his wife and young daughter.
