The first time I took the SWE, I failed. I had used the Grossman material and felt like I was learning how to memorize test questions, but lacking in an understanding of the fundamental concepts that I needed to know. A friend of mine, who also failed her SWE after using AATBS shared that she had purchased the TDC program. I tried it and passed the SWE the next time I took it!  I immediately purchased the CVE but as life does, things got busy with kids and work etc. and I put the CVE off, for a few months.

Although I did use TDC I failed the CVE the first time by 1 point. I knew why however, not enough focus or time spend on studying the material. I actually skipped the entire legal/ethical section of the TDC material because I felt so competent in this area, when in fact my scores showed this is where I really did not do well on the test.  Devastated but forging forward and using the failure (#2) as a learning tool I approached my studying very differently for my retest. I told my family what I needed and said NO to anything that was not necessary for 3-weeks. I listened and re-listened to Amanda's lectures, talked with other therapists about it and read it aloud daily. I took the test, and I passed.  My career as a therapist has been a long journey. Thank you for your approach, TDC. I am a better therapist and also a better professor in my college classes now due to the familiarity with the concepts, theories, interventions, etc. that your program reacquainted me with!
