Heidi Tobe is a Licensed Clincial Social Worker in St. Louis, Missouri. She received her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Loyola University Chicago, her Master of Education degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Heidi passed her LMSW exam on the first try in July of 2014 and her LCSW exam on the first try in September 2016 by using the TDC's LMSW and LCSW exam prep. She found the TDC programs prepared her thoroughly in both the structure and content of the exams and is a true believer in the TDC method.
During her graduate school experience, Heidi co-facilitated Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) groups for adults and adolescents and their parents. She also provided individual and group therapy for young adults through a local college access program. Upon graduation, Heidi worked as a self-injury program coordinator for a local non-profit, in which she co-facilitated adolescent DBT groups, provided individual therapy, and trained other professionals and agencies in self-injury and DBT skills. Before joining TDC full-time, she worked as a mental health counselor for Lutheran Family and Children Services serving a high school in North St. Louis County. Prior to entering the social work field, Heidi taught 7th grade science as a Teach for America corps member and spent two years as a missionary in Eastern Africa, Eastern Europe, and South Eastern Asia.
