I cannot stress this enough that TDC provided me with the exact strategy and appropriate knowledge to pass the LCSW Standard Written Exam. I felt connected and got the rigor, rhythm and confidence as soon as I got in touch with the coaching instructor. Their instruction material is profound, precise and perfect which has helped me PASS and if you try with TDC, you will too. I feel immensely fortunate to have found TDC via internet search, experienced immense passion in TDC staff in helping me get one step ahead towards my success. I am telling everyone that TDC is the key to success, and do not waste your time, energy and valued money in buying materials from other tutorial company. TDC's price is very reasonable knowing the fact that you are going to PASS. I am stressing PASS may times as who will know more than me of how important that is after I used AATBS and Gerry Grossman and had to hunt for TDC to finally PASS . I can go on and on.... Thank You TDC for being creative, honest and keeping me grounded. Oh! Will get in touch for the CV preparation. Love you TDC and your team! You Rock!
I wanted to follow up with you since having taken my LMSW exam on Monday (9/17) and PASSING!...Yay! I am so excited! This was my second time around, which is when I found your Center and help and I just wanted to send you an email of thanks! I wanted to tell you what I thought was the most helpful..for whatever it's worth. First of all, thank you for all you do! I love the personal nature of your center and the what feels really authentic efforts and connection you make with your listeners. All your preparation strategies were extremely helpful. I found the audios incredible...very absorbing for me and easy to retain. I actually learned A LOT! I found all the handouts great! I will definitly pass your name/center on to others preparing for the LMSW exam. I really appreciated when I was able to talk with Bethany a couple days before to talk through some confusions. You all are really accessable! Thank you so so much! I hope you continue to be successful!
I so appreciated talking with you on the telephone twice before deciding to register for your materials. I had prayed to God about how on earth I was supposed to approach this test. I was a former teacher and I could see that other materials offered were not compatible with this type of test. There was no way to memorized the NASW Test Prep book as they were suggesting at a training day. Then I stumbled on your website. It was an answer to prayer!
Well, I passed the LMSW Exam about 2 weeks ago with an 86%! I could go on and on about how much your prep got me ready, gave me confidence and has already helped me in practice. Everything you say is absolutely right on! And I can not thank you enough. I think differently now as a new therapist. It pulled together all of my MSW work. We never had tests and wrote loads of papers. I will share this with as many others as I am able. Anybody who is serious about being a better therapist would benefit. When I took the test I still was not sure how I was doing. There were two really good answers for many. But I had studied your basics for about 8 weeks. So on the test I was familiar with most parts of every answer. I never panicked. BTW, there were more questions geared for children and youth issues than I expected. But EVERYTHING I studied was worthwhile even if it was not on the test. And during my weeks of study, I didn't feel that anxiety because I knew that this would be right on. Again thank you for your support! And I truly learned just so much from all your LMSW exam materials both audio and written!
I just wanted to thank you for creating this program. I took my Clinical Vignette Exam on 8/28/12, completed the exam in 102 minutes, without a doubt that I had passed thanks to your coaching. I had taken the exam one time before, using other companies study materials. Although, I felt confident in my clinical skills, I was not able to wrap my head around the other companies justifications and was not able to obtain constancy in my practicing. With your methods and coaching, I felt a sense of control, I felt prepared, not only an increased confidence in my own knowledge, but I felt prepared on HOW to take the exam without becoming overwhelmed. I truly feel that was one of the key factors that aided in my passing the exam. I have already and will be recommending you to others. Thank you again TDC!
TDC, I am the gal who signed up for your course after reading Monica Stel's outstanding recommendation for your workshop lectures. I had been studying AATBS, and was just spinning my wheels, and then started studying with you. IT IS AMAZING! I GET IT!!! I used to faciltate workshops that taught underrepresented students in the engineering and computer how to STUDY SMART. I "flipped" when I heard you use that phrase on the audio's--it is a wonderful way to learn--verbal, auditory, and kinestic; I know it works, so many of our kids actually graduated with a B.S.--the retention/graduation rate was 79% rather than the norm of 41% for "kids from the hood". I will be taking the first CA LSCW exam within the month and "will pass with confidence". Thanks for being here. Again, a big, fat, thank you. Cindy
P.S. I spoke with Monica a couple of weeks ago and that day she had taken the LCSW Exam II and passed--thanks to your second workshop!
Yesterday (10/27/12), I passed my LCSW Standard Written Exam and I completed my test approximately 20 minutes earlier. Your exam preparation workshops have helped me tremendously in preparing for this exam and especially how to conduct myself as a better social worker. Your knowledge, support, and sense of humor hearing you on your workshops have given me the confidence and lessen my anxiety in taking the test. I am looking forward to preparing for the LCSW Vignette Exam. Thank you so much TDC!!!!
I finally passed the LCSW written exam using your program after attempting 4 previous times using other programs. I actually referred you to Department of Health Services(DHS) and highly recommended your program. I spoke with you once and mentioned that there were 40 social workers in DHS being pushed to become license before 10/12 and most could not pass the first test. I am glad I found your program, thank you for all the work you do!
I have a very close group of friends that I went to graduate school with. Within 9-12 months of one another, we all began to prepare for licensing having completed all of our supervised hour requirements. In our study huddles, I was able to review the options from all the test prep companies ( Berkeley, aatbs, Gerry Grossman) and I couldn't believe the study materials my friends were receiving and the cost of the seminars. Some of the study manuals were larger than most of the class text books in graduate school. I took practice tests from other companies and failed miserably. I attended free workshops and experienced the hard sell from the big test companies. Often the material they presented was esoteric and had nothing to do with my graduate education or what I experienced doing all those supervised hours. I was daunted, I didn't know where to begin, the BBS list was so long and the print was so small and I felt like I had to know it all to pass...so I dove into the materials beginning with the population I had the least experience working with, older adults. I tried to memorize and prepare comprehensively. I continued to fail at the test banks. I was tempted to buy more and more study materials to relieve my anxiety. Then it dawned on me, why would I buy more materials from a developer that wasn't helping me to pass the test banks with the manuals and flashcards I already had? I wasted time and money before I found the Therapist Development Center. It was so refreshing to be introduced to the TDC materials and the concept that I could study smarter, not harder. Everything the TDC said about the exam seemed to 'click'. If you want to pass the BBS licensing exam, studying volumes of source material isn't going to do it. There wasn't one question on the exams that I was able to know because of the hours I spent studying the diseases that commonly affect the elderly. I passed because I learned how to understand the test questions. I was confident to move through the test quickly and accurately. My anxiety was well managed using the TDC methods. I actually enjoyed listening to the audios. I learned the material for the exam, and I know I became a more competent clinician. I recommended TDC to all of my friends and the ones that used TDC materials passed the first time, like I did.
Just letting you know I took the exam last week. Passed (did very well) 130 correct. The on-line training was very effective. It completely helped me get organized for studying. Well worth the money just for the anxiety reduction.
This LCSW Exam prep program is the only way I would have passed my exam. I was so fortunate to hear about it before I set myself up for failure using AATBS's sub-par program. The TDC program is clear, concise and perfectly on target for what is on the test. The other perk is their availability, whenever I had a question she contacted me within 24 hours. I was so prepared for the exam that I finished with an hour left! I am a stay at home Mom with a 4 year old and a baby less than 1 and I was able to prepare for the exam in less than a month because their program is that good. There is no other program I would recommend and I am so proud and grateful to be able to say that I am an LCSW!!!!
I wanted to say thank you very much for helping me pass the LMSW exam. I took it today and PASSED all because of your coaching, audio on the exam prep and materials. It was a really good information for me on how to look at the test. This was my third time taking it. I was doing the wrong thing all along and I know I wouldn’t have passed without your help. I will definitely recommend the therapist development center to anyone I know. Once again thank you and have a good day!
Greetings Fellow Licensed Therapist/Clinicians:
I am a very proud LCSW. I want to share my journey towards actualizing our shared dreams of becoming a licensed clinician-rather a clinical social worker or a marriage and family therapist. I began my journey in December of 2011. When I started I was lost on the best route to take to prepare for my exams. I attempted to use Gerry Grossman, AATBS and even a IPhone app for Berkeley institute. I will shared that I was more confused once beginning these programs than I was when I started. I STILL decided to throw caution to the wind and take the exam. I failed-I missed 10 points :(......One day I was having a conversation with a fellow colleague and Amanda Rowan and the Therapist Development Center popped up into the conversation. I decided to check into this lady who was referred to as a "Exam prep queen". So I liked what I read and was able gather from The Therapist Development Center's website. I purchased the Written Standard exam study system. I jumped in head first with this new study system and discovered a new found appreciation of having knowledge that I needed to refresh and develop further. I took the first exam within my own time-I passed. With tons of knowledge and excitement, I didn't consider any other system, I immediately went to the Therapist Development Center website and purchased the second study system for the CV exam. Within two and a half weeks, I felt beyond prepared for the second exam-On November 19th, 2012, I am proud to announce that I am a California Licensed Clinical Social Worker. TDC, I am forever indebted to your support, encouragement and experience. Many many thanks. If you have any questions about this study system and or Amanda and Associates, DON'T!!!!! Buy this system not now but right now!
I passed my LCSW clinical vignette exam today! THANK YOU!!!! I have to say that your study material and using the frames were the BEST information that I have received. I failed the first time and now I absolutely know why! Simply by learning the frames and USING them to frame the questions on the exam served me 100 % better than going over and over the AATBS questions and becoming frustrated over the answers. No more inferring-no more guessing what they wanted from me! I listened to what you said- memorized the frames-applied them and leaned in. No second guessing! Best money I have spent! Thank you! Blessings!
I spoke with you back in July, but I finally purchased your material on 10/19/2012. I am happy to report that I passed the LCSW clinical vignette exam on 11/14/12 (my second try after purchasing and using GG), Yay!!! All I can say is I wish I knew about your material sooner as it would have saved me a lot of money and time. But I am a true believer that everything happens when it is supposed to happen. I really appreciate the fact that your material gave me the exact strategies I needed to pass w/o the fillers. Thank you so much! You are awesome!
I just wanted to tell you that I finally cleared my 1st exam using your study methods, and would like to sincerely thank you. I tried AATBS the first time, Berkeley the second time, and the Therapist Development Center the third time, and all you said was true. For the first time when I read the questions they made sense, and I realized I did not need all those thick books to study, the thick materials were just overwhelming and slowing my progress. I look forward to studying the second exam with you, and God bless.
By the way, thank you so much for this program. You make me excited to study. Was always jealous of people who'd say that, but this time I am one of THEM! I took the exam and failed by one point. After several months of cursing this exam, I got on the ball and started the TDC handouts. I wanted to use the TDC program from the beginning, but my husband persuaded me not to since other programs cost more and come with books. (So in his mind they MUST be better). So wrong! But, he's an attorney, a convincing man, and always with my best interest so I went with BTA not knowing and hoping it would work. AWFUL! I've never been more upset with a test prep company in my life. Now that I am following your program, I am happy again. Feel like I have an edge since I've already taken the test and recognize many of the test questions you have on your program. So glad you are out there, helping those that are smart social workers, but misled and misguided. I just needed to stop memorizing and forcing recall on an exam that doesn't require that. Who knew? :)
Mahalo nui loa! May God bless you!!!
Working with the TDC was great. Prior to taking her course I had taken a packaged LCSW seminar over a year ago and yet never registered for my first test, (not to mention spent a significant amount of money doing it)!! I think my hesitation in taking the test was largely because the previous seminar gave so much information it almost seemed impossible to absorb. It took an incredible amount of time just to strategize on how to tackle the material…A year and a few months later I felt I was finally ready and passed the first exam. In preparation for the second exam however, I knew I could not wait another year, I needed someone who knew how to teach, motivate and present the most concise material to get me through. My co-worker referred me to the TDC. I contacted them on the phone and by the end of our conversation I felt totally confident that I could tackle the second exam in 6 weeks. I quickly signed up for her courses and just 2 weeks beyond my initial timeline I had passed my second exam. The TDC is all about the “test”. In referring them to my co-workers I explain their approach as “trimming all the fat and getting straight to the meat”. They gave very practical and concise approaches to taking the test. They provided the motivation and support I needed to get it done and get it done quickly. Thanks TDC.
I cannot believe how prepared I felt for the LMSW exam compared to the first time I took it. It was a completely different experience. As you know, I used AATBS the first time and just got blown away on test day. You helped me develop the test taking skills I needed to actually pass the test. What a difference! I am telling all my friends about you!
Preparing for the LCSW exam is daunting. I found that having the guidance and support of The Therapist Development Center gave me the individualized direction I needed to know what and how to study for the exam. The workshops allowed me to break down a large amount of information into a more “doable” amount of information. I found the individual tutoring session particularly helpful. My tutor was able to assess my practice exam results allowing for a tailored session that focused on areas of the exam that was most challenging for my individual case. I believe I was less anxious during the actual testing experience because I had that individual time with a tutor to talk about my individual challenge areas. I obtained a better understanding of how to read a question stem and determine what the question was asking. Overall, the support received from the Therapist Development Center was what I needed when preparing for the LCSW exam… and it worked! I PASSED!
Having used not one but two of the main prep companies promising pass guarantees did not help me and left me frustrated. I found TDC’s techniques for teaching strategies to pass the LCSW CV exam absolutely helpful to be successful in passing the exam!!!. Learning how to apply such strategies and not just take the same tests several times helped me to accomplish my goal. Thank you TDC!!!
